Philip and the team are based at Blizard Institute, London, which is part of Queen Mary University Hospital.

The Blizard Institute is the largest institute of Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry and aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.

 The instute houses a fantastic state-of-the-art laboratory and facilities which can be overlooked fo their Bioscience Education Centre, the Centre of the Cell, and space-age meeting rooms. The Centre of the Cell opened in September 2009 and 10,000 children will have visited in its first year of opening.

The Blizard Building houses  is open to the public and encourages young people and schools in the principles of scientific and biomedical research and the background to many of the major scientific and ethical issues facing young people, educationally and socially.  
 

SHHiRT are planning to hold fundraising events and education visits at the institute so that our supporters can see the research work first hand and really be part of the journey looking for the cure.
